Using the equalizer

The graphic equalizer lets you adjust the equal- ization to match car interior acoustic character- istics as desired.

2Press EQ on the head unit to select the equalizer.

Press EQ on the head unit repeatedly to switch between the following equalizer curves.

SUPER BASS—POWERFUL—NATURAL—VOCAL—CUSTOM1—CUSTOM2—FLAT

Recalling equalizer curves

There are seven stored equalizer curves which you can easily recall at any time. Here is a list of the equalizer curves:

CUSTOM1, 2	Custom1, 2
FLAT	Flat

•CUSTOM1 and CUSTOM2 are adjusted equal- izer curves.

•A separate CUSTOM1 curve can be created for each source.

•If you make adjustments when a curve other than CUSTOM2 is selected, the equalizer curve settings are memorized in CUSTOM1.

•A CUSTOM2 curve can be created common to all sources.

•If you make adjustments when the CUSTOM2 curve is selected, the CUSTOM2 curve is updated.

•When FLAT is selected no supplement or correction is made to the sound. This is useful to check the effect of the equalizer curves by switching alternatively between FLAT and a set equalizer curve.

1Press EQ on the head unit to display the equalizer mode.

Adjusting equalizer curves

You can adjust the currently selected equalizer curve setting as desired. Adjusted equalizer curve settings are memorized in CUSTOM1 or CUSTOM2.

1Press A to select the equalizer mode . Press A until EQ Low/EQ Mid/EQ High appears in the display.

• Pressing AUDIO on the head unit also per- forms the same operation.

2Select the equalizer band you want to adjust with 1or ¡.

EQ Low (low)—EQ Mid (mid)—EQ High (high)

• Pressing 2or 3on the head unit also per- forms the same operation.

3Press Eor eto adjust the equalizer curve.

Each press of Eor eincreases or decreases the equalizer curve respectively.

• +6 – –6is displayed as the equalizer curve is increased or decreased.

• Pressing 5or ∞on the head unit also per- forms the same operation.

Note

•If you make adjustments when a curve other than CUSTOM2 is selected, CUSTOM1 curve is updated.
