On the default setting, if a timer program (Standard or VCR Plus+ programming system) is set but there isn’t enough space on the disc at the recording quality set, the recording will start, but it will be cut off when the disc is full.
Set Optimized Rec to On to have the recorder automatically adjust the recording quality to fit the available disc space.

Note
•The quality of recordings may be reduced if a longer recording time is used.
•If, even on recording level SEP, there is insufficient space available on the disc, the recording is made on SEP but recording will stop once the disc is full.
•Optimized Recording only compensates for the first (earliest starting) timer program if more than one has been set.

Playback settings
Parental Lock
Some
Some discs also support the Country/Area code feature. The recorder does not play certain scenes on these discs depending on the Country/Area code you set.
Before you can set the Parental Lock level or the Country/ Area code you must set a password. As the password owner you can change the Parental Lock level or Country/ Area code whenever you like. You can also change the password.
