Het is raadzaam om de schaal in eerste instantie in te stellen op 3 ( ). Indien nodig de schaal hoger of lager instellen om de instelling te zoeken die het meest comfortabel en effectief voor u is. U kunt de vochtigheidsinstelling te allen tijde aanpassen.

De bedoeling is om vochtige lucht te leveren naar uw masker en daarbij de vorming van condens in de luchtslang te voorkomen. De temperatuur en de vochtigheid van de omgevingslucht zijn van invloed op de benodigde instelling.

Raadpleeg “Veel gestelde vragen” voor meer tips omtrent de juiste vochtigheidsinstelling.

4Bevestig uw masker zoals beschreven in uw gebruiksaanwijzing voor het masker.

5Druk op de Start/Stop toets op het bedieningspaneel. Als uw flow-generator is uitgerust met een SmartStart™-functie, kunt u ook gewoon in uw masker ademen, waarna de lucht begint te stromen.

N.B.: Als het apparaat in werking is, gaat het indicatielampje helderder branden om aan te geven dat het verwarmingselement actief is. Uw HumidAire 3i is voorzien van een snel verwarmingselement, waardoor zeer korte verwarmingstijden nodig zijn. Wees niet ongerust als de lamp slechts zeer korte tijd helderder is.

6Ga in bed liggen en leg de luchtslang zo, dat deze vrij kan bewegen als u zich in uw slaap omdraait.

WAARSCHUWING

! Laat geen bovenmatig lang stuk luchtslang langs het hoofdeinde van uw bed lopen. Dit zou zich om uw hoofd of hals kunnen draaien wanneer u slaapt.

STOPPEN MET UW BEHANDELING

Om uw behandeling te allen tijde te stoppen, verwijdert u uw masker en drukt op de Start/Stop toets. Als uw flow-generator is voorzien van een SmartStart-functie, kunt u gewoon uw masker verwijderen, zodat de behandeling stopt.

Sommige flow-generators blijven zachtjes lucht blazen nadat u de behandeling hebt stopgezet. Dit kan wel een uur doorgaan en dient om de verwarmingsplaat te helpen afkoelen. U kunt echter op elk gewenst moment de spanningstoevoer van het apparaat afsluiten en de verwarmingsplaat laten afkoelen zonder luchtstroom.

1Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact (G-1).

WAARSCHUWING

! Behandel uw HumidAire 3i voorzichtig. Zowel het water als de onderplaat van de waterkamer kunnen heet zijn. Laat de verwarmingsplaat en eventueel overtollig water eerst tien minuten afkoelen (G-2).

2Verwijder de waterkamer van het docking-station (G-3).
