If the problem cannot be solved, contact your sales or service representative.
Images are print-
ed in the wrong
orientation.
The feed direction you selected and the feed direction selected in the print-
er driver's Option Setup of the printer driver might not be the same. Make
the proper settings.

The printed image
is different the im-
age on the com-
puter's display.
With certain functions, such as enlargement and reduction, the layout of
the image might be different to that on the computer display.
You might have selected to replace True Type fonts with machine fonts in
the printing process.
To print an image similar to the image on the computer display, make set-
tings to print True Type fonts as an image.

No transmission
when you use
1394 interface con-
nection
Check using the following procedure.
AConfirm the IEEE 1394 interface cable is connected securely.
BRestart the computer.
If the error occurs even after executing the above operation, go to the
following steps.
CUnplug the IEEE 1394 interface cable that is connected to the computer.
DExecute the utility tool for 1394 Interface Unit, which is stored in the fol-
lowing path in the CD-ROM labeled Printer Drivers and Utilities.

ERestart the computer.
Printing stops and
a paper error is
displayed if the
custom size paper
in the paper feed
tray is specified
when printing
with the Post-
Script 3 printer
driver.
Follow the one of the procedures below.
Press [Job Reset] on the display panel to stop printing. Set the custom
size paper in the bypass tray, and then start printing.
Select the paper feed tray with custom size paper, and then press
[Continue] to force printing.
