Number of tone rings for activating answering machine

You can specify how many tone rings are applied before the answering machine is switched on. The default set- ting (Auto 2/4) has the following effect: if there are new messages waiting, the answering machine is switched on after two tone rings, otherwise after four tone rings (call charge saving function for remote message retriev- al). Alternatively, you can specify any number of rings be- tween 1 and 9.

Listening to messages as they are recorded

You can specify whether the loudspeaker is switched on or off during the automatic answering of calls. If the loud- speaker is switched on, you can listen in on messages as they are recorded.
