6.7Configuring a Connection
So far, we worked in our project without accessing the SIMATIC S7 controller. On our panel, levels are to be displayed and fill setpoints are to be entered.
For operator and display objects that access the process values of a controller, first the connection to the controller has to be configured.
Here, you specify how and by means of what interface the panel communicates with the controller.
Double click on the window Connections.
All parameters are already set through the settings in the hardware configuration.
Note
To set up a new connection, double click in the free field in the first column. Change the connection parameters of the newly created connection
