the battery duration will be shortened.
Whenthe terminalsarenot clean orwhenthe
battery pack has not been used for along time,
install and remove the battery pack from time to
time. This will improve the contact condition. Also,
wipe the + and- terminals with a soft cloth or
paper.
Why the battery pack heats up?
During charging orrecording, the battery pack

How to care for the battery pack
• Remove the battery pack from thecamcorder after using it, and keepit in a cool place.
When the battery pack is in the camcorder, a small amount ofcurrent flows to the
camcorder even if it'sturned off. This gradualdischarge shortens battery life.
• The battery pack isalways discharging even when itis not inuse after charging.
Thus, it is recommended you chargethe battery right before using.
How to use the switch on the battery pack
This switch isprovided sothat you can remember
thecharging condition.Set the switch to the "no
mark"positionwhen charging iscompleted.Set
the switch tothe "red mark" positionwhen the
battery is used up.
How many times can thebattery pack be recharged?
The battery packcan be fullycharged and dischargedabout 500 timesunder normal
temperatures.
Ifthe _\_ indicatorblinks rapidlyjustafter turning on the camcorderwith afully charged
battery pack,the batterypackshould be replaced with a new fully charged one.
Recommended temperatures during charging
Charging under temperatures ranging from 10°C to 30°C (5°F to 85°F) is recommended.
Lower temperatures require a longer charging time.
