The NightShot function enables you to shoot a subject in a dark place. You can achieve a satisfactory recording of the ecology of nocturnal animals for observation with this function.
(1) While the camcorder is in Standby mode, slide NIGHTSHOT to ON.
(2) Press START/STOP to start recording. 
and “NIGHTSHOT” indicators flash.

Using the NightShot light
When you set N.S.LIGHT to ON in the menu system, the picture will be more clear. NightShot light rays are infrared and are therefore invisible. The maximum limit of NightShot light is about 3 m.
