What is MP3/JPEG?
MP3 is audio compression teclmology that
satisfies the 1SO/MPEG regulations. JPEG is
image compression technology.
Discs that the system canplay
You can play back DATA CDs (C[)-ROMs/CD-
Rs/CD-RWs) or DATA DVDs (DVD-Rs/DVD-
RWs/DVD+Rs/DVD+RWs/DVD-ROMs)
recorded in MP3 (MPEGI Audio Layer 3)or
JPEG R_rmat. However, tireDATA CDs must be
recorded according to 1SO 9660 Level 1,Level
2or Joliet R>rmat and DATA DVDs ofUniversal
Disk Format (UDF) for the system to recognize
the tracks (or files). You can also play discs
recorded in Multi Session.

About the Multi-Session disc
If MP3 audio tracks or JPEG image [_les are
recorded in the t_rst session, the system will also
play MP3 audio tracks or JPEG image files in
other sessions. If audio tracks and images in
audio CD fi_>rmator vide(> CD tk)rmat are
recorded in the first session, only the first
session will be played back.
•The system may not be able to play some DATA
CDs/DATA DVDscreated in the Packet Write
format.

extension ".MP3," ".JPG," or".JPEG" even if

this data may generate a loud noise which
could damage your speaker system.
• The system does notconform to audio in
MP3PRO format.
