output channels from 2 channel sources. This is
done using an advanced, high=purity matrix
surround decoder that extracts the spatial

adding any new sounds or tonal colorations.
•When theinput signal ismulti channelsource, Dolby
Pro Logic and Dolby Pro Logic 11MOVIE/MUSIC
arecanceled and the multichannel source is output
directly.
•When thebilingual broadcast sound isinput, Dolby
Pro Logic and Dolby Pro Logic 11MOVIE/MUSIC
arenot effective.
Outputting XM radio signals inthe multi channel surroundformat
•NEURAL SURROUND
The system outputs signals in the multi channel
surround l\_rmat when the system receives an
XM Radio surround broadcast. When the system
receives a stereo broadcast, tile stereo sound is
emphasized.
•NEURAL SURROUND isactivated asaPCM signal
or2channel analog signal. The NEURAL
SURROUND processing will be turned off
automatically whenanother type of signal is input.
Thebeginning ofthe soundmay be dropped ()titwhen
Ibisprocessing isturned on/off. Inthis case, thesound
field is set to "A.F.D. STD" automatically.

Cinema Studio EX consists of the l\_llowing
three elements.
• Virtual Multi Dimension
Creates five sets of virtual speakers
surrounding the listener from asingle pair of
actual surround speakers.
• Screen Depth Matching
Ina movie theater, sound seems tocome fi'om
insidethe image reflected on the movie screen.
This element creates the same sensation ill
yourlistening room by shifting tile sound of
thefront speakers "into" tilescreen.
• Cinema Studio Reverberation
Reproduces tile reverberations peculiar to a
movie theater. Cinema Smdin EXis tile
