Format(initialize)thebuilf-inflashmemorywhenthewarningindicator flashesfast. Toformat(initialize)thebuilt-inflashmemory,carryoutthefollowingoperation.

(1) Set the POWER switch to CAMERA or PLAYER. When you set the POWER switch to CAMERA, turn STANDBY to MEMORY.

(2) Press MENU to display the MENU settings.

(3) Turn the SEL/PUSH EXEC dial to select , then press the dial.

(4) Turn the SEL/PUSH EXEC dial to select FORMAT, then press the dial.

(5) Turn the SEL/PUSH EXEC dial to select OK, then press the dial. Tocancelformatting,selectRETURN,thenpressthedial.

•Formattingerasesallinformationinthebuilt-inflashmemory,inclusingtheprotectedimagedata. Checkthecontentsoftheflashmemorybeforformatting.

•Besurethatthebatterypackisfullychargedwhenformattingthebuilt-inflashmemory.Formatting

takesaboutthreeseconds.
•Do not turn the POWER switch or press any button while the display shows	“FORMATTING”.
