Pressing START/STOP does not record files.

The playback screen is displayed. Stop playback, and then select [Recording Mode] [ Movie] or [Audio].

Your camcorder is recording the file you have just recorded on the recording media. You cannot make new recording during this period.

The recording media is full. Delete unnecessary files. [Details]

Total number of movie scenes exceeds the recordable capacity of your camcorder [Details]. Delete unnecessary movies [Details].

Total number of audio files exceeds the recordable capacity of your camcorder [Details]. Delete unnecessary audio files [Details].

The access lamp remains lit or flashing even if recording has stopped.

Your camcorder is recording the file you have just recorded on the memory card.

The imaging field looks different.

The imaging field may look different depending on the condition of your camcorder. This is not a malfunction.

The actual shooting time for movies is less than the expected shooting time of the recording media.

Depending on the shooting conditions, the time available for shooting may be shorter, for example when shooting a fast moving object, etc. [Details].

The camcorder stops operating.

If you keep applying vibration on the camcorder, recording may stop.

There is a slight time lag between the moment when START/STOP is pressed and the actual movie shooting starts or stops.
