Adjustment
To eliminate a horizontal black line produced at the bottom:
Adjust the bottom position of the image to be printed using the V WIDTH item.
Note
If you enlarge the bottom position by pressing the g button even though there is no video signal, the value of V START may be changed. This results in a black line appearing at the top.
When a vertical black line is produced on the printout
To eliminate a vertical black line produced on the left side:
Adjust the left position of the image to be printed using the H START item.
Note
It is alright if a black line appears on the right side while you adjusting on the left side. You can eliminate it using the H WIDTH item.
To eliminate a vertical black line produced on the right side:
Adjust the right position of the image to be printed using the H WIDTH item.
Note
If you enlarge the right side position by pressing the
gbutton even though there is no video signal, the value of H START may be changed. This results in a black line appearing on the left side.
To reset the values to defaults
For H START, H WIDTH, V START and V WIDTH items, you can reset the values to defaults in pairs.
To reset the values for vertical settings, position the cursor at either V START or V WIDTH, and then press the G and g buttons simultaneously.
To reset the values for horizontal settings, position the cursor at either H START or H WIDTH, and then press the G and g buttons simultaneously.

3 Select SAVE, then press the EXEC button. The adjusted values are stored. The LAYOUT SETUP menu appears.
To clear the adjusted value
Select CANCEL in step 3, then press the EXEC button. The values adjusted in step 2 are cleared and the values are reset to the original ones.
To check the adjustment result
Capture a new image and print it to check that no black frame appears on the printout, that the image is not partially cut, and that no black line appears.
Adjusting the Color Balance
You should use the ink ribbon and paper that are contained in the same package as a pair. The color balance may differ depending on each pair.
It is recommended that you adjust the color balance each time you load a new set of ink ribbon and paper.
Before adjusting the color balance
•Reset all items on the COLOR ADJUST menu to defaults. (See “Adjusting the Printout Color” on page 45.)
•Confirm that the source image is displayed. If not, display the source image on the video monitor by using the SOURCE/MEMORY button.
