Motion Detection Area Setup

When users are setting the motion detection area, an USB mouse can help to speedily complete the setup. Enter the OSD setup menu and go to the following path: <Main Menu>

Æ<Event Setup> Æ <Per Channel Config> Æ <Detection Config> Æ <Detected Area Setup>. The screen is split into 16x12 grids, where the grids can be selected or deselected as motion detection area.

Left click once on any grid to select or deselect the specific grid. Moreover, left click and drag to choose multiple grids, then a pull-down menu will be displayed when the mouse button is released. Choose <BLOCK SELECT> to set the grids as motion detection area, or choose <BLOCK DESELECT> to deactivate the grids. Otherwise, choose <CANCEL> to do nothing.

Right clicking the USB mouse will display a different pull-down menu, which includes: <Select All>, <Deselect All>, and <Confirm>. Choose <Select All> to set all grids as motion detection area, or choose <Deselect All> deactivate all grids. When the setup is completed, choose <Confirm> to save the setting and return to the previous page.

NOTE: This special USB mouse operation is also available to the privacy mask setup and smart search area setup.
