Special Applications
Some applications (like Internet games, video conferencing, Internet telephony and others) require multiple connections. The Special Applications function allows you to configure the router to support multiple connections for these types of applications.
Parameter | Description |
Trigger Port | Enter the outgoing (Outbound) port number for |
| this particular application. The Trigger Port range is |
| between 0 and 65535. |
Trigger Type | Select whether the Outbound port protocol is TCP |
| or UDP. |
Public Port | Enter the incoming (Inbound) port number for this |
| type of application. NOTE: Individual port |
| numbers should be separated by a comma. Use a |
| hyphen to indicate a port range. (e.g. , 47624, 2300- |
| 2400) |
Public Type | Select whether the Inbound port protocol is TCP |
| or UDP. |
Enabled | Check this box to enable the special application. |
| Only one LAN client can use a special application |
| at a time. |

| require multiple connections. Select an application |
| from the list, select a location |
| selection box and click Copy. |
| If your application is not on this list, check with the |
| application manufacturer for the port numbers they |
| require. |
