Firewall
The router can provide extensive firewall protection. You can restrict certain users/hosts from using certain applications, block common hacker attacks, and be informed by email if an attack on your network occurs. You can also configure a specific client/server as a DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) for applications that require unrestricted access to the Internet.
To enable the firewall settings, check the Enable box and click Apply.
NOTE: You need to check the enable box AND configure the Access Control, Hacker Prevention, and DMZ features in order to properly configure the firewall. Checking the enable box alone does not offer any additional firewall protection.
