5-6 Adding PCI Cards

PCI Expansion Slots

Two riser cards are used to support add-on cards to the system. The SC815TQ- R650U/SC815TQ-560U chassis can accommodate one standard size (full height full length) and one low profi le PCI expansion card. When viewed from the chassis front, the standard size card installs to the left and the low-profi le card installs to the right side.

PCI cards are installed into riser cards that have been pre-installed to the system. An additional two riser cards are included to support PCI-E add-on cards. See confi guration list below.

PCI Card Installation

Before installing a PCI add-on card, make sure you install it into the correct riser card. Begin by releasing the locking tab that corresponds to the slot you wish to populate. Insert the expansion card into the correct riser card, pushing down with your thumbs evenly on both sides of the card.
