#1. Internal SAS Connector

The Internal SAS port (J3) connects to the backplane allowing the motherboard to access the hard drives and RAID capabili- ties. This connector supports up to 4 HDD ports.

Use a single port SAS "ipass" cable (Super

Micro order number CBL - 0108L-02).

#2. iButton Socket

The iButton is used to enable RAID 5 with the AOC-USAS-L4iR card only.. To do this, you must install a SuperMicro ibutton and enable the SWR5 jumper.

#3. Active LED Connector

Allows the add-on card to display activity and status using a standard LED panel.

#5. External SAS Connector

The External SAS port (J4) allows the motherboard to connect to an external backplane. This connector supports up to 4 SAS drives.

Use a single port, external SAS cable (Su- per Micro order number CBL - 0166L).
