WEB FILTER SETTINGS

Database Tab

DATABASE TAB

The Database tab shows the current database being used for Monitoring, and Rules and Clients in Web Filter. The default database name is SurfControl_WebFilter.SurfControl recommends you do not have separate databases for Monitoring and Rules. For more information about Mobile Filter remote users, consult the Mobile Filter Administrator’s Guide.

To change the Web Filter Database:

1Stop the service.

2In the Database tab, click Browse alongside the type of Database you want to change.

A SQL Server Login dialog box is displayed. The Use Trusted Connection option is selected by default. If you want to use a SQL Server Login ID and Password, clear this option and enter the details in the relevant fields.

3Select the server you want to connect to from the Server list. The Options button will become enabled.
