REAL TIME MONITOR

Introduction

INTRODUCTION

The Real-Time Monitor shows Internet activity on your network as it is happening. This is different from the Monitored Data in the Web Filter Manager, which displays historic information that has been saved in your database.

To open the Real-Time Monitor from the Web Filter Manager select Content Protection > Real-Time Monitor from the appropriate collector or database in the Navigation tree. The Real-Time Monitor is also available from the Start > All Programs > SurfControl Web Filter menu.

You can right click a destination in the Real-Time Monitor to visit the selected destination in your Web browser. This is a convenient way to inspect the web sites frequented by users, as soon as they are visited.

The following columns are visible by default in the Real-Time Monitor:
