Turning off the display automatically
To save power, it’s a good idea to set the display to turn off automatically when you’re not using the computer. You can do this several ways:
❖Use the Windows Display Properties to enable a blank screen saver.
❖Use the Windows Power Saver Properties to turn off the LCD panel after a certain amount of time has passed.
Enabling the screen saver
1Click Start, point to Settings, then click Control Panel.

3In the section labeled Screen Saver, select Blank Screen.
4In the Wait window, click the up and down buttons to set the number of minutes before the display turns off automatically.
5Click OK to save your changes and exit the Display Properties dialog box.
