11 – Storage and Service

Storage

First turn the UPS system’s output and utility input breaker OFF, then disconnect the UPS system’s input from the AC utility power source. Next, disconnect all equipment. The UPS system must be stored in a clean, secure environment with a temperature less than 40° C and a relative humidity less than 90% (non-condensing). Note: If the UPS system remains off for an extended period of time, it should be turned on periodically to allow the batteries to recharge. The UPS system should be turned on and the batteries should be recharged at least one uninterrupted 12-hour period every three months in moderate-temperature environments (-15° to 30° C), or every two months in high- temperature environments (30° to 40° C). Failure to recharge the batteries periodically may cause irreversible battery damage.

Service

The UPS system is covered by the limited warranty described in this manual. Extended and on-site warranty options are also available. For more information, call Tripp Lite Customer Service at +1.773.869.1234. If returning the UPS system to Tripp Lite, carefully pack the UPS system using the original packing material that came with the unit. Enclose a letter describing the symptoms of the problem. If the UPS system is within the warranty period, enclose a copy of the sales receipt.
