El sistema UPS tiene seis conexiones de salida de contacto seco. Estos contactos pueden ser normalmente abiertos o normalmente cerrados. Los contactos están especificados para 250V AC/28V CD; 8A.

El puerto serial DB9 RS-232 conecta el sistema UPS a una estación de trabajo o servidor (cable incluido). Al comunicarse con el sistema UPS a través de este puerto, el software para administración de UPS PowerAlert de Tripp Lite (incluido) puede monitorear y controlar el sistema UPS. PowerAlert sirve además como un proxy SNMP permitiendo al sistema UPS aparecer en la red como un dispositivo administrable por SNMP.

Las señales y operaciones de RS-232 incluyen: nivel de carga, estado de la batería, nivel de la batería, modo de operación, voltaje de entrada de CA, voltaje de salida de CA, frecuencia de entrada de CA, temperatura interna, hora establecida de retraso de apagado, activar/desactivar alarma y apagado remoto.

El puerto de configuración en paralelo permite al sistema UPS conectarse a otro sistema UPS de tipo y capacidad idénticos para usarse en una configuración en paralelo (1+1) para una capacidad aumentada o una tolerancia a fallas aumentada. Advertencia: Use únicamente el cable de 14 configuración en paralelo incluido con el sistema UPS. El intento de usar un cable incompatible puede cañar los sistemas UPS y crear un riesgo severo de lesiones personales y daño a la propiedad.
