8-9 Shutdown Procedure (Parallel UPS—MUS)

2

Warning: The UPS system shutdown procedure will eliminate the AC power output for all loads. Before shutdown, confirm that all loads

are turned off or place the UPS systems in manual bypass mode (See Section 8-10) to keep loads powered by the bypass power path.

3

4

For the UPS system you wish to shut down, press the OFF button

for 3 seconds (until you hear a beep), then release the button. If the other UPS systems can support the connected equipment loads alone, the UPS system that was turned off will shut down its inverter and its LCD screens will read “LOAD NOT POWERED”. The other UPS system’s LCD screen will read “ONLINE MODE”. If the total connected equipment load is too large to be handled by the remaining UPS systems, all UPS systems will shut down their inverters and switch to bypass mode, and their LCD screens will read “ON AUTO BYPASS”.
