FUEL REQUIREMENTS

Use only fresh gasoline (petrol) that has

GASOLINE(PETROL)

been stored in clean containers.

w

GASOLINE (PETROL) AND ITS VAPORS ARE HIGHLY FLAMMABLE AND EXPLO- SIVE!

8 Do not smoke when refueling, and keep away from sparks, flames, or other sources of ignition.

8 Stop engine before refueling.

8 Refuel in a well-ventilated area. Do not stand or sit on the water vehicle while refueling in case of fire.

8 Take care not to spill gasoline (petrol).

If gasoline (petrol) spills, wipe it up immediately with dry rags. Always properly dispose of gasoline-soaked rags.

8 Avoid overfilling the fuel tank. Stop filling when the fuel level just reaches the bottom of the filler tube. Do not fill up the filler tube because fuel expands as it warms up and could overflow.

8 Tighten the filler cap securely after refueling.

8 If you should swallow some gasoline (petrol), inhale a lot of gasoline (petrol) vapor, or get gasoline (petrol) in your eyes, get immediate medical attention.

8 If any gasoline (petrol) spills onto your skin, immediately wash with soap and water. Change clothing if gasoline (petrol) spills on it.

Recommended gasoline: Unleaded regular gasoline Minimum octane rating:

86 (Pump octane number): (R+M)/2

90 (Research octane number)

Gasohol

There are two types of gasohol: gasohol containing ethanol and that containing methanol. Gasohol containing ethanol can be used if ethanol content does not exceed 10% and the fuel meets minimum octane ratings. Gasohol containing methanol is not recommended by Yamaha because it can cause fuel system damage or engines performance prob- lems.
