Quick Start
On some commercially available song data, certain settings related to the song (such as voice selection, vol- ume, etc.) are recorded to the first measure, before the actual note data. When Quick Start is set to “ON,” the

Channel
Refers to the MIDI channel (page 157). The channels are assigned as follows:
Song

Accompaniment Style
9 - 16
Determines the MIDI channel assigned to the [TRACK2] button.
Determines the MIDI channel assigned to the [TRACK1] button.
Determines the harmony channel for Vocoder (page 132).
Determines whether the Phrase Mark Repeat function for the song is on or off. When this is on, you can repeatedly play back a specified phrase (selection of measures) of the song. The method for setting a phrase mark is the same as that in the SONG POSITION display (page 78).
Determines the language of the displayed lyrics.
When this is set to “AUTO,” the language defaults to that of the song data. When not set to “AUTO,” the language defaults to Japanese, when the internal setting (page 151) is JAPANESE; for all other languages, this is set to
“INTERNATIONAL.”
When set to “ON,” this automatically sets the proper Track 1 and Track 2 channels. Normally, this should be set to “ON.”
