tion about these settings, but, like web access, there are some differences from the network card that does not support Internet Fax. The following section explains the tabs within Admin Manager.

When Admin Manager is started, it first shows a list of network cards con- nected to printers and fax machines. Check the MAC addresses to select which network card is to be configured. The MAC address is shown on the network card report explained earlier. Select the network card for con- figuration and go to MENU " Setup " Device Setup. The following set- tings can be changed:

General - Set the password.

TCP/IP - The following settings can be changed:

(a)Enable DHCP/BOOTP or RARP.

(b)IP Address, Subnet mask and Default Gateway.

(c)Enable Banner for FTP/LPR.

(d)DNS settings

NetWare - NetWare server settings. For details, refer to the network card manual. Please note that the position of the Pserver menu is dif- ferent for Internet Fax and the method for setting Pserver NDS and Bindery. Also refer to the help menu of the tool.

EtherTalk - Not used by this machine.

NetBEUI - See the manual for the network card.

SNMP - See the manual for the network card.

The Printer TRAP facility of the tool supplied with Internet Fax has been expanded. Up to 5 addresses can be added in TCP/IP as Printer Traps and also an extra address in IPX/SPX, for which trap alarms can be specified individually. Also refer to the help menu of the tool.

Internet Fax - The settings accessible through the web can also be changed here.

Telnet

As this fax machine is Telnet capable, the network settings can be changed using Telnet via the network. Also refer to the network card man- ual, which contains detailed information about these settings, but, like web access, there are some differences from that does not support Internet Fax.
