Use the lamp cartridge handle to pull the lamp cartridge from the projector.

Insert the new lamp cartridge as far as it will go, as shown in the illustration.

zAfter inserting the lamp cartridge, lay its handle down in the position shown in the illustration under step 5 on this page.

Make sure the grooves of the lamp cartridge align with the grooves of the lamp housing.

Caution

Take care to avoid touching the lamp (glass) and the mirrors inside the projector. Doing so can cause the lamp to rupture, shorten lamp life, and otherwise affect lamp performance.

8 Secure the lamp cartridge with the three screws.

9 Return the lamp cover to its original position, and secure it with the screw.

zAfter replacing the lamp, be sure to perform the procedure under “Resetting the Lamp Time” on page 29.

Resetting the Lamp Time

The lamp time reset operation you need to perform depends on when you replace the lamp.

It is time to replace the lamp. Use the procedure in the User’s Guide to replace the lamp as soon as possible.

If you replace the lamp when the above message appears, use the procedure under “To reset the lamp time”.

The lamp has exceeded its service life! The projector will not turn on until you replace the lamp.

If you replace the lamp after the above message appears, use the procedure under “To reset the lamp time after exceeding the lamp life”.
