4.If your topology requires a different type or additional type support (such as Ethernet_802.3, Ethernet_II or Ethernet_SNAP, etc.), change the line which loads your SMCPWR .LAN driver to read:

LOAD SMCPWR SLOT=? FRAME=???? NAME=SMCPWR_1_E83

Or, add additional LOAD statements to load more frame types. If attaching this server to existing wiring, you must also edit the NET= entry on the BIND statement to mirror the existing network segment number.

Sample AUTOEXEC.NCF File

A typical AUTOEXEC.NCF file might appear as follows:

set Time Zone = EST5EDT

set Daylight Savings Time Offset = 1:00:00

set Start Of Daylight Savings Time = (APRIL SUNDAY FIRST 2:00:00 AM)

set End Of Daylight Savings Time = (OCTOBER SUNDAY LAST 2:00:00 AM)

mount all

5.Press F10 to save any changes.

6.At the Installation Options screen, highlight NCF files options and press Enter. Highlight Edit STARTUP.NCF and press Enter. Familiarize yourself with the contents of the file in the event of catastrophic failure and/or corruption of the file.

7.Press Esc three times to exit.

8.At the : prompt, type DOWN and press Enter to end the server processes and dismount all drives. Verify no users are logged in before bringing the server down.

9.At the : prompt, type EXIT and press Enter to exit to the DOS prompt.

10.Reboot the server and watch the boot up process for any errors.

Note: If you did not add the SERVER.EXE load to your AUTOEXEC.BAT file, you must manually add a line to this file. In a
