Performing Additional Administrative Tasks
After you have completed the installation, you may need to perform some or all of the following administrative tasks to make your system fully operational:
∙Log in to the system administrator menus
∙Set a password for the sysadm login
∙Set the date, time, and time zone
∙Set system name and network node name
∙Add disk, tape, tty or SCSI printer devices to your system
∙Install additional software
∙Add terminals to your system
∙Add printers to your system
∙Add classes of printers
∙Add users
∙Add groups of users
∙Performing a system backup
∙Turn on and check peripherals
Some of these tasks cannot be performed until after you have installed specific software package(s). For example, you should not add printers or classes of printers until you have installed lp.
