General Information

This section explains the operating system software and the PEN*KEYR tool.

Software Included with the 6642

Pen Computer

The 6642 pen computer hard disk is preconfigured with the operating system and software before it is shipped from the factory.

The folders on the hard disk are organized as shown below.

"Windows -Windows 98 system

"CIC PenX handwriting recognition software

Windows 98

A computer's operating system is the basic software that con- trols the computer so that it can run application software. The 6642 pen computer uses Microsoft Windows 98 as its op- erating system. Application software must be compatible with this operating system in order to run on the pen comput- er.
