When the copied documents are hard to read, clean the machine’s scanning glass and white roller. If they are dirty, the quality of the transmission image and copy becomes degraded.

If you have document jams in automatic feeding, it is recommended to clean the ADF rubber surface as follows.

2.Disassemble the white roller as follows.

Both ends of the roller are terminated with bushings which are snapped shut with small tabs. Push the tabs slightly inwards in the direction of ‘A’, then rotate it in the direction of ‘B’ until it reaches the slot as shown in the figure below. Then pull the roller upwards in the direction of ‘C’.

3.Wipe the roller clean with a soft cloth dampened with alcohol. Then, dry thoroughly.

1. Lift the control panel using hand.

Be careful not to lose the bushing on one end of the roller when disassembling.

Do not use the document having contents written by pencil on the back side. It cause the white roller to be stain. When the roller becomes dirty, the copied document will not reproduced clear.
