The following shows the interface converter’s internal switch settings required to use a Hewlett-Packard 7580A plotter with AutoCAD® from AUTODESK on an IBM PC or compatible. Because PCs and compatibles output RS-232 levels, the shorting DIP jumper should be set to the RS-232 position (J206).
