When using your recorder as the recording deck, set "AV1 SELECT" to "S-VIDEO" and "AV2 SELECT" to "AV2" (pg. 44).

When using your recorder as the source player, set the AV1 OUT switch on the rear panel to Y/C (pg. 4).
