3.12 Macro

A macro is a recorded sequence of keystrokes. The number of macros depends on the number of camera inputs (4, 10 or 16). Each macro can have up to 32 keystrokes.

Use this menu to:

Enter Macro Record mode.

Program a scheduled start time for a macro.

Edit the RS232 command string for each submacro.

Note: Do not attempt macro programming while the front panel is locked.

To begin recording a macro:

1.Select the macro number you wish to record, then press the Enter button. The unit will automatically exit the menu system and go to a starting point. Macro Record mode

is indicated as F and the Macro Number on-screen.

2.From this point, begin recording the desired keystroke sequence. Record up to 32 keystrokes. If 32 keystrokes are exceeded, the unit will end the macro recording automatically.

3.When finished programming, press the Function button then the Enter button to end the macro recording. A form is provided in section 10 to keep track of recorded macro functions.
