6. Materials You may Need for the Installation:
Depending on the type of gate and post, you may need some additional materials/hardware.
•Low voltage wire [RB509]. Length depends upon the distance between the transformer power supply and the control box. (Page 13)
•If the gate is more than 1000’ away from an AC power source you will need to use at least one 10 watt Solar Panel[FM123] to trickle charge the battery. (Page 2)
•PVC Conduit. (Page 6)
•The diameter of the post should be at least 6” in order to mount the post bracket. (Page 6)
•Depending upon the diameter of the post, you may need longer bolts than those provided. Bolts should be at least 1” longer than the diameter of the post. (Page 6)
•Metal plate for wooden posts. (Page 6)
•A horizontal or vertical cross member or mounting plate may be needed to mount the operator to the gate. (Page 3)
