Fabric softener, liquid starch
Fabric softener added to the wash program will make fabrics feel softer and will reduce static cling in the dryer.
Liquid starch is a synthetic starch wash used to give fabrics some stiffness. Starch can be included in any wash program as part of the final rinse.
Automatic dispensing of fabric softener or liquid starch
^Add the fabric softener or liquid starch to compartment §. Do not exceed the Max. level mark.
The softener or liquid starch is auto- matically dispensed in the final rinse. At the end of the program a small amount of water will remain in the fabric softener compartment §.
If you use starch frequently, clean the dispenser compartment and especially the siphon tube and conditioner channel. See "Cleaning the detergent drawer".
Separate fabric softener
^Add the fabric softener to compartment §.
^Select the "Starch" program.
^Press the "Start" button.
Separate powder starch
^Dispense the amount of starch recommended on the packaging.
^Add starch to compartment i.
^Select the "Starch" program.
^Press the "Start" button.
Never mix fabric softener and starch together in the fabric softener compartment §. This will clog the dispenser.
Dye removers / Fabric dyes
Do not use dye removers in this washer.
^When dying fabrics in the washer, adhere to the manufacturer’s instructions.
External dispensing
As an option the washer can be set up to an external detergent dosage system. A conversion kit is necessary which can be purchased from Miele Technical Service.
