REMOVING/INSTALLING CASTERS (FIGURE 3)
WARNING
DO NOT use your power wheelchair unless it has the proper tire pressure (p.s.i.). DO NOT
Periodically, the tires will need to be replaced due to wear or puncture.
Removing Casters
1.Remove the mounting screw, spacers and locknut that secure the existing caster to the fork.
2.Remove the existing caster from the fork.
Installing Casters
1.Position the new/existing caster into the fork.
2.Reinstall the mounting screw, spacers and locknut that secure the caster to the fork.
3.Torque locknut to
4.Loosen the locknut 1/8 of a turn.
5.Move the caster side to side.
NOTE: If the caster moves side to side, tighten the locknut slightly. Repeat STEP 4 until there is no side to side move- ment of the caster.

REPLACING FORKS (FIGURE 4)
1.Remove the caster from the existing fork. Refer to REMOVING/INSTALLING CASTERS in this proce- dure of the manual.
2.Remove the head tube cap.
3.Remove the locknut and nylon washer.
4.Drop the existing fork out of the caster head tube.
5.Slide the new fork into the caster head tube.
NOTE: Check bearing assemblies. Replace if necessary.
6.Ensurenewforkslidescompletelyintocasterheadtube.
7.Install nylon washer and secure with locknut.
WARNING
Improperpositioningofthewasherwillprohibitthe free movement of the forks.
8.Install the caster onto the new fork. Refer to REMOV- ING/INSTALLING CASTERS in this procedure of the manual.
9.Adjust the forks. Refer to ADJUSTING FORKS in PROCEDURE 9 of the owner’s manual, 1081227

REMOVING/INSTALLING THE MOTOR (CONVENTIONAL MOTOR WITH GEARBOX) (FIGURE 5)
Removing
RWD AND MWD MODELS.
1.Disconnect the right and/or left motor connector from the controller.
2.Remove the two (2) allen screws and washers that secure the motor to the gearbox.
CAUTION
DO NOT damage the motor/gearbox coupling.
3. Carefully pull the motor away from the gearbox.
ARROW FWD MODEL.
1.Remove the front shroud. Refer to REMOVING/IN- STALLING SIDE SHROUDASSEMBLYin PROCE- DURE 17 of this manual.
2.Remove the counterweight. Refer to REMOVING/ INSTALLING COUNTERWEIGHTin PROCEDURE 17 of this manual.
3.Removethebatterybox(es).RefertoINSTALLING/RE- MOVING GROUP 24 BATTERY BOXES in PROCE- DURE 9 of this manual.
