Dan increase in spring compression, the amount of rocking the user experiences will decrease. Al-
Wthough, this setting would minimize rocking, ob-
Hstacles protruding from the ground as well as ne-
Egotiating steeper inclines will be more difficult.
8.Adjust the stabilizers to the desired setting determinedL

ADJUSTING STABILIZERS (FIGURE 11)
NOTE: Adjust the stabilizers to the desired handling/ma- neuverability determined in ADJUSTING WEIGHT DIS- TRIBUTION in this procedure of the manual.
NOTE: Note the mounting position of the stabilizer to the base frame for proper reinstallation.
Height Adjustment
1.Removethemountingscrewandlocknutthatsecures the top of the stabilizer fork assembly to the base frame.
2.Swing top end of stabilizer fork assembly forward.
3.Loosen jam nut, located below adjustment barrel.
4.Perform one (1) of the following:
Turn the adjustment barrel CLOCKWISEto raise the stabilizer wheel.
Turn the adjustment barrel COUNTERCLOCKWISE to lower the stabilizer wheel.
WARNING
The threaded rod must be engaged in the adjustment barrel at least eight (8) full threads. Otherwise, injury or damage may occur.
5.Realign the top of stabilizer fork assembly with the mounting hole in the base frame noted earlier.
NOTE: Further height adjustment can be accomplished by using the alternate mounting hole in the base frame. See DETAIL “A”.
6.Secure stabilizer to base frame with existing mount- ing screw and locknut.
7.To increase spring compression, refer to ADJUST- ING SPRING COMPRESSION in this procedure of the manual.
NOTE: Adjust both stabilizers equally to maintain proper handling.
8.Repeat for opposite stabilizer.
9.Test wheelchair for handling/maneuverability.
10.Repeat STEPS
