SHOCK SPRING REPLACEMENT			GROUP 22 BATTERIES

1.	Remove the group 22 battery box or group 24 battery			R

3.	Remove the mounting screw that secures the top of			C

	the shock to the suspension arm.

4.	Swing the top of the shock rearward.			I
5.	Hold the spring retainer and turn the shock eyelet as- Suspension			R

	sembly counterclockwise to unthread it from the shock.	Arm
6.	Remove the spring retainer and spring.	NOTE: Shock exploded away for clarity. There is no

10.Positiontheretainerclipbetweentheshockandthebat- teryboxsub-framemakingsuretheretainerclipmount-

clip is against the battery box retainer.		Hex
11. Secure top of shock and retainer clip to base frame.		Screws
Apply Loctite 242 and torque to 160-inch pounds.		Battery Box
12. GROUP 24 BATTERIES ONLY - Apply Loctite 242		Retainer
and torque the hex screw that secures the battery box		Bar

13. Reinstall the group 22 battery box or group 24 battery	Assembly
