Programmable Softkeys

From the idle screen, you can program softkeys to access frequently-used functionality, such as paging, do not disturb, call log, call forward. There are four programmable softkeys on the Quick Edition 4610SW IP phone and eight on the Quick Edition 4621SW IP phone. Table 1, below, lists all possible softkey functions.

To program a softkey

1.Press the selected softkey for two seconds to access the programmable softkeys menu.

2.The screen will display all possible options. A check mark indicates the current function assigned to the key and a ’D’ indicates the default function of the key.

3.Select the Line/Feature () button beside the new function. Press the PAGE LEFT and PAGE RIGHT () buttons to view all options.

4.Click Ok at the “key assigned” message.

To disable a softkey

1.Press the selected softkey for two seconds to access the programmable softkeys menu.

2.Select Disable from the list of functions.

3.Press Ok.

To reset softkeys to factory defaults

1.Access the user options menu (see Displaying the User Options Menu on page 7).

2.Select Reset Softkeys on the User Options menu.

3.Select Yes. The system will return a confirmation message.
