Making/Answering Calls

Base unit

1During an outside call, press MN. R All registered handsets beep.

2Wait for the paged party to answer.

R If the paged party does not answer, press MN to return to the outside call.

3To complete the transfer, press MZN.

Note:

RDepending on your cellular phone type, you may need to set the cellular phone to be ready to talk before transferring. For example, if your cellular phone has a top cover, open it beforehand.

Transferring a cellular call from a cellular phone to the handset

During a conversation using a cellular phone, the call cannot be transferred to the handset by the cellular phone. Perform the following with the handset.

1During a conversation using a cellular phone, press MCELLN.

R In the following cases, go to step 3.

when only 1 cellular phone is paired.

when a specific line is set to make cellular calls (page 20).

Note:

RWhen you press MOFFN on the handset to end the phone app’s cellular call, the call is transferred to the cellular phone. Use the cellular phone to disconnect the call. Depending on the phone app, the call may be disconnected without being transferred to the cellular phone.

RThe cellular call is transferred to the cellular phone.

Note:

RWhen you press MZN on the base unit to end the phone app’s cellular call, the call is transferred to the cellular phone. Use the cellular phone to disconnect the call. Depending on the phone app, the call may be disconnected without being transferred to the cellular phone.

Answering a 2nd call

If you receive a call while talking on the phone, the interrupt tone sounds (page 35), and the 2nd caller’s information is displayed on the handset if you subscribe to Caller ID

(page 44).
