Problem
I cannot use the handset as a remote control when playing music from your Bluetooth device through the base unit’s speaker.
The handset does not show music information on the display.
I am not talking on a cellular call, but the CELL indicator on the base unit may flash.
Cause/solution
RConfirm that the Bluetooth device supports the Audio Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP) specification.
RConfirm that the Bluetooth device supports the Audio Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP ver 1.3 or later) specification.
RConfirm that some kind of media player app is not activated on your smartphone.
Answering system
Problem
The unit does not record new messages.
I cannot operate the answering system remotely.
The unit does not emit the specified number of rings.
Cause/solution
RThe answering system is turned off. Turn it on (page 51).
RThe answering system does not answer or record calls from cellular lines.
RThe message memory is full. Erase unnecessary messages (page 52).
RThe recording time is set to “Greeting only”. Change the setting (page 56).
RYour service provider/telephone company’s voice mail service may be answering your calls before the unit’s answering system can answer your calls. Change the unit’s number of rings setting (page 56) to a lower value, or contact your service provider/telephone company.
RThe answering system will not answer incoming calls while the other devices such as handsets are engaged in a call.
RThe remote access code is not set. Set the remote access code (page 54).
RYou are entering the wrong remote access code. If you have forgotten your remote access code, enter the remote access code setting to check your current code (page 54).
RThe answering system is turned off. Turn it on (page 55).
RYou cannot operate the answering system when calling a cellular phone paired to the base unit.
RIf the first ring is turned off, the number of rings decreases by 1 from the specified number of rings.
