To play the divided messages continuously

Select “ON” for “CONT.” as described in “Playing Back All Messages in a Folder Continuously” on page 37.

Notes

You need a certain amount of space in the “Memory Stick“ to add an index. For more information, see “System Limitations“ on page 64.

You cannot add an index when “INDEX FULL“ appears in the display window. Erase some messages before adding an index. For more information, see “System Limitations“ on page 64.

The recorded date and time (page 34) of the latter part of the divided message by adding an index, is the same as that (the starting date and time of recording) of the divided message.

If you add an index to a labeled message (page 28) that was divided, the other part of the divided message will have the same message name.

If you add an index to a message with priority mark(s) (page 26), priority mark(s) will be added to both parts of the divided message.

Combining messages by erasing the index

You can combine two messages by erasing the index.

The index is erased.

The message numbers decrease.

In stop mode, follow the steps below:

1 Press the jog lever up or down to display the number of the second of the two messages you want to combine.

2 While pressing ERASE button, press INDEX button for more than 1 second.

“ERASE INDEX” will flash for 10 seconds.

3 Press ERASE button while the display is flashing.

The two messages are combined into one and the messages will be renumbered as in the illustration above.

• After combing messages by erasing an index, the

 

latter message's name (page 28) , alarm setting

Messages

(page 30), priority mark(s) (page 26), and the

 

recorded date and time (page 34) will be deleted.

 

• You cannot combine messages with different

 

recording modes.
