Using the kettle

1 TO OPEN THE LID.

• Pull the lid in a vertical direction (fig. 3).GB

• To close it, press down on the lid.

2 PLACE THE KETTLE ON A SMOOTH, CLEAN AND COOL SURFACE.

• Your kettle must only be used with its own scale filter.

3 FILL THE KETTLE WITH THE REQUIRED QUANTITY OF WATER. (fig 4)

•You can fill the kettle by the spout, which helps to keep the filter in good condition. Otherwise, at least cover the heating coil (or the bottom of the kettle).

•Do not fill the kettle when it is plugged into the mains.

•Do not fill the kettle above the maximum level. If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may spill over the top.

•Do not use without water.

•Check that the lid is closed correctly before use.

5TO START THE KETTLE.

•Press the ON/OFF button at the top or the bottom of the handle, depending on the model. (fig 5)

6 THE KETTLE MAY LIGHT UP, DEPENDING ON MODEL.

7 THE KETTLE WILL STOP AUTOMATICALLY.

•As soon as the water boils, you can stop the kettle manually by pressing the ON/OFF button. Depending on the model, the light inside the kettle or the indicator light will be extinguished when the water boils. Check that the ON/OFF button is in the OFF position after the water has boiled and that the kettle is not operating before unplugging it.

•Do not use the water from the first two or three uses of the kettle, as it could contain dust. Rinse the kettle and the filter separately.

8 STORAGE OF THE KETTLE.

•Empty the water from the kettle, and leave it to cool down before wiping it dry. Wind the power cord around the appliance and place it in the storage bag along with its cups and spoons.

•If necessary, the bag may be washed by hand.
