Warranty

This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary from state to state or province to province.

One-Year Limited Warranty

Hewlett-Packard warrants the HP FAX facsimile against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from receipt by the end user. During the warranty period, Hewlett-Packard will, at its option, either repair or replace products that prove to be defective. Replacement products may be new or refurbished, at Hewlett-Packard's discretion.

Exclusions

The warranty on your HP FAX facsimile shall not apply to defects resulting from the following:

:Improper or inadequate maintenance by the customer.

:Unauthorized modification or misuse.

:Operation outside of the environmental specifications for the product.

:Operation using non-supported printing media.

The warranty period begins either on the date of delivery or, where the purchase price includes installation by Hewlett-Packard or its authorized dealer, on the date of installation.

Warranty Limitations

The warranty set forth above is exclusive and no other warranty, whether written or oral, is expressed or implied. Hewlett-Packard specifically disclaims the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Some states or provinces do not allow limitations on how long an implied warrant lasts, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. However, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness is limited to the one year duration of this written warranty.

NOTE: This product is for use (and supported) only in the country of purchase. Sale or use in other countries voids the warranty and may violate local laws.
