RECORD QUALITY AND RECORD IPS
A brief explanation of IPS and recording quality will help you get the most of your system and the storage space you have.
IPS (images per second) is the rate that the camera captures video. The less the IPS, the choppier the video will be, the higher the IPS the smoother the video will be. However, the higher the IPS, the more space on your hard drive the video will take. Note that you have a TOTAL of 120 IPS (30/camera) for all the cameras combined.
To save space, and optimize your video logs, it is often recommended to set the normal record IPS low, so that when nothing out of the ordinary is happening the video quality is low, but not taking up too much space. You can then set the Event Record IPS and the
