There are two choices in the category PPP (Point to Point Protocol) and two choices under Ethernet. Which you choose is determined by how your service provider will route your information. If you should make the wrong choice here, your modem will not be set up correctly.
If you’re not sure which choice you need to make, it is advisable to exit the setup program and get the informa- tion from your ISP. You can remedy an incorrect install (as covered in Chapter Four), but it’s easier to do it right in the first place.
