Once the baud rate is set to a ﬁxed amount you will no longer be able to access the Conﬁguration dialog box to make changes. Refer to “Restoring the 3C882 ISDN Modem to Autobaud” on page 8-9for assistance.

3Save this setting by entering AT&W and press return.

Next you must install the 230K driver to take advantage of the higher baud rate.

4From the Control Panel dialog box, double click the Modems icon.

The Modems Properties dialog box appears.

5Click Add.The Install New Modem dialog box appears.

6Check the box to prevent automatic detection of the 3ComImpact IQ ISDN modem and click Next.

The dialog box listing modem manufacturers and modem models appears.

7From the Manufacturers list box, select 3COM, and from the Models list box, select 3ComImpact IQ 230K.

8Click Next.

9Select the appropriate COM port. and click Next. A dialog box indicates successful setup.

10Click Finish.

11Be sure to change the setting of your application program (such as Dial-Up Networking for Windows 95) to 230400 bps.
