Installing a Serial Cable
To install the 3C882 ISDN modem serial cable:
On a Macintosh computer, the COM port is the mini DIN
8-pinserial connector depicted by the telephone handset

Configuring the 3C882 ISDN Modem for a PC
To install the 3C882 ISDN modem software:
3Click OK
4Click Next to continue the installation
6Click Yes to review this file
7Click OK to complete the installation
1Double-clickthe 3ComImpact IQ icon shown in Figure
You will see a start message, as shown in Figure
2Enter the first telephone number for your ISDN line

If you clicked No, the Configuration dialog box will open, as shown in Figure

To run the SPID Wizard for a second telephone number:
From the Configuration dialog box, check the

A message box appears and asks you to confirm that you want to run SPID Wizard
2Click OK
To change the connection speed to 64 Kbps or TollMizer, do the following:
1Select the appropriate radio button (64 Kbps or TollMizer)
One Telephone Number and Two Analog Devices

To change the voice call routing setting:
■Layer 1: UP
■SPID 1: Init (if required)
■TEI 1: Number from 64 to
■SPID 2: Init (if required)
3Click Exit to leave the utility

The Install From Disk dialog box appears, as shown in

Configuring the 3C882 ISDN Modem for a Macintosh Computer
To install the 3C882 ISDN modem software in an Apple
Macintosh computer:
A message box appears as shown in Figure
2Click Continue
The Readme file opens. You can choose to review the document or print the file
This completes the software installation

The Select Modem Port screen appears, as shown in
2Select the port to which the 3C882 ISDN modem is connected and then click OK
